Macca House

There are many houses in Bucharest which shows their time, some even if they are very old they show it very proudly with grace, others, just try hard to capture the visitor’s gaze, but they all makes one feel proud how beautiful the Capital was many years ago. The Macca House is one of the most beautiful buildings right in the centre of the Capital, currently used by the National Archeology Institute of Bucharest and is in desperate need for a proper restoration. There were some attempts to assess the current degradation state of the building, attempts which in itself were conducted in a destructive way, unfortunately there is no plan for restoring the beauty of this building. The Institute holds an impressive collection of archeological pieces collected from all over Romania, the irony is that the house is transforming over time into an archeological site.
